LOGISTICAL ARRANGEMENTS FOR 2027

Only three weeks before I travel to Scotland to organise all the logistics for my 4 week stay on the Isle of St Kilda in 2027

 My rough itinerary

 ·      Flight to Glasgow from Melbourne via Dubai.

·      Pick up 30 kilos of Soay fleeces from Cheryl at Hilton Hill farm in Kingskettle

·      Visit Jimmy & Erika at their Newburgh Handloom Weavers workshop in Newburgh

·      Drive up to Scrabster to catch the ferry to Stromness, from there drive to Kirkwall to catch the ferry to Stronsay to pick up 40 kilos of Boreray fleeces from Hazel at Airy Farm

·      Deliver the fleeces to Kate at the Border Mill in Duns for processing and spinning

·      Arrange a visit to St Kilda via a ferry from Uig on Skye to Harris and then a boat (Kilda Cruises) from Leverburgh to visit the Ranger on St Kilda (weather permitting).

·      Whilst in Leverburgh discuss with Kilda Cruises the transporting of myself and all my gear over to St Kilda in 2027

·      Meet with Susan Bain, the Manager of the Western Isles for the National Trust for Scotland in Inverness

·      Establish what vegan food options to take with me for the 4 weeks stay on St Kilda in 2027

·      Catch up with my many friends in Scotland

I have drawn lines on the map of Scotland to give you some idea as to the amount of travelling that I will be doing whilst there in July. A whistle stop tour.
