A quick train trip from Stirling into Edinburgh today had one simple purpose—to visit the wonderful Blackwell's bookshop and buy one book on St Kilda.

Well... that was the plan. 😂

Somehow I walked out with six!

Every one of them will add another piece to the puzzle as I continue researching the life and times of the St Kildans in preparation for my four-week stay on the island next year. The more I can learn now, the better equipped I'll be to recreate the long-lost tradition of weaving St Kilda tweed where it was last woven almost a century ago.

I think this little collection should keep me occupied for a while... although somehow I suspect there may be room for just one more! 📚🥲
